KTM Organizes- Humourous Speech Contest
Kolkata Toastmasters Club conducted the club level Humorous Speech Contest on 24th September 2015 at Calcutta Chamber of Commerce..
The KTM floor was abuzz with a full house to cheer for our finest warrior competing each other in the contest. The speeches were loaded with witty humor, subtle sarcasm and of coarse the good old rib-tickling comedy offering us plenty of exercise of certain funny bone.
However all this fun and entertainment would not have been possible without the heroics of some good human being who were serious... very serious... and did not joke at all, about the Job at hand. My first thank goes to the extremely charming and handsome Toastmaster Vinay Bamalwa who chaired the contest ensuring the fun and business go hand in hand. Supporting her wonderfully– TM Vandana Agarwala and TM Padma Goenka were closely ‘watch’ing the deadlines. Hat’s off to the Sergeant at Arms TM Mohak Pachisia and TM Shweta Agarwal to hammer the gavel right on 7.00 PM.
The last and definitely not the least... THANK YOU Division Director Siddartha Churiwal for donning the role of Chief Judge, handled contest with his expertise ascertaining that the contests were carried orderly with all rules accounted for. I have no doubt that the Chief along with his Judges’ Squad found the bests among the bests in the contest.. And finally Kudos to all the participants.. TM Vidwata Mohta, TM Md. Afzal, TM Vedant Mehra, TM Ritu Bhalotia, TM Himanshu Awasthi.
KTM organizes Table Topic Contest 2013

Kolkata Toastmasters Club conducted the club level Table Topic Contest on 08th March 2013 at Calcutta Chamber of Commerce.. and WOW... what a contest it was - A perfect example of a great amount of energy and enthusiasm meeting careful co-ordination and expert execution. We had a full-house abuzz with Guests and Toastmasters to cheer for some of our finest members competing each other in the contest.
Before I publish the result here I would like to first thank few individuals- without whom the fantastic event wouldn’t have been possible.
I’m talking about the Contestants.. Our Special Guest for the day TM John Gupta from Canada, who had been with Toastmasters 29 years, confessed that he has never seen such huge and ensemble gathering for a Club Contest. Dear Friends, there were 12 Participants for the Contest. The number itself speaks volume of the mammoth contest that we just had. Here are the list of Contestant who deserve a huge round of applause.. clap clap clap!!!

My second mention would be- TM Ankita Agarwal, who masterfully chaired the Table Topic Contest ensuring all the rules and regulation are accounted for.TM Snajan Gupta ( MC and SAA), TM Kaushal Dayani (Tally Counter), TM Vinita Dayani(Timer 1), TM Nilabjo Chowdhury (Timer 2) played their part beautifully. Their Co-ordination showed the amount of preparation done to achieve such a brilliant Contest.
Finally.. the last and definitely not the least.. the Hierarch – our Area Governor of Area G2 himself .. Toastmaster Vishal Churiwal donning the role of Chief Judge, handled both the contest with exemplary leadership. I have no doubt that the Chief along with his Judges’ Squad found the best among the bests in the contest. and finally give it up for the top three …
